Yong Maeng Jong Jin
led by Zen Master Soeng Hyang (Barbara Rhodes)Retreat is a time to look inside and investigate our life. It is an opportunity to clear our mind of habitual thinking and access our wisdom and compassion. Yong Maeng Jong Jin means "to leap like a tiger while sitting" a Korean term traditionally used to describe intensive Zen meditation. It points to the state of clarity and wisdom we experience that is both relaxed, wide like space, and clear and meticulous as the tip of a needle, so that we can use our experience to help ourselves and this world, moment to moment.
If you are staying over night, we will be sleeping on meditation mats. You are welcome to bring a sleeping bag or blankets. All other instruction in the PZC YMJJ info PDF should apply to this retreat. You can download the YYMJ PDF here. If you would like to register for the retreat or have any questions please call us at 970/556-5638 or email info@fczc.org.
