Yong Maeng Jong Jin, September 5 - 7, 2008
led by Judy Roitman, JDPSNOur September YMJJ ran from Friday evening to late Sunday afternoon. Retreat is an opportunity to clear our mind of habitual thinking and uncover our wisdom and compassion. In Korean, Yong Maeng Jong Jin means "to leap like a tiger while sitting" a description of intensive Zen meditation. It points to a state of mind that is both relaxed, wide like space, and clear, meticulous like the tip of a needle. From that, we can help ourselves and this world, moment to moment.
Check out the Providence Zen Center YMJJ information booklet for more on schedule and practice forms.
